Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) is diligently working towards promoting rapid industrialization in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. KPEZDMC aims to facilitate industrial growth by developing modern industrial estates leading to mass job creation, skill enhancement, increased productivity that ultimately contributes to poverty alleviation and a prosperous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. KPEZDMC is seeking self-motivated, energetic, dynamic & creative individuals to be part of the team. The Company requires qualified and experienced personnel for the following positions on immediate basis:

1. CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER :

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION: Maters in Business Administration. Marketing or other related discipline from a recognized university. Work experience of minimum 12 years is essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

  • Develop strategic direction and plans for commercial functions including sales, business development and budget follow-up
  • To effieciently manage and motivate a large sales team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective business relationships 
  • To develop annual sales forecast that establishes new and additional revenue streams 
  • To develop reliable and competetitve pricing strategy for company services 
  • Monitor implantation of annual marketing, advertising plans etc.
  • Develop working relations with company management and employees as a basis for success down the road 
  • Suggesting best practices from his/her area of expertise and growth in the years to come 
  • Any other tasks as may be delegated by the management from time to time.

 

2. CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER:

Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa Economic Zone Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) is an initiative of the Government of Khyber Pkahtunkhuwa. The company aims to effectively manage and develop world class industrial estates in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to help organizing and establishing planned and rapid industrialization in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa thereby enhancing Pakistan's earning potential, creating employment opportunities and inviting investment from local and international channels.
Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa Economic Zone Development and Management Company invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of “Chief Technical Officer”. The candidate should possess the following competencies

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience in developing infrastructure regarding roads, sewerage, water supply planning, treatment plan, firefighting system and health & safety etc. 
  • Wide experience in overseeing all sights civil engineers, coordinate with Architects, consultants and construction contractors.
  • Must be able to plan and utilize operational expenses of the project to provide company strategic mix and phase wise completion of project
  • Broad knowledge of primavera MS project planning, AutoCAD and other relevant software's
  • Ability to lead and drive the project team.
  • Strong technical report writing and communication skills and fluency in spoken English is must
  • International/national experience in developing industrial zones, residential colonies and must have an ability to handle complex civil engineering issues.
  • Strong understanding of strategic project planning as per requirement of economic zone and cash flow requirements.

EDUCATION:

Bachelors in civil engineering from a recognized university or preferably a Master in Construction or Estate Management out of which 7 years must be in managerial and strategic role. Work Experience of more than 12+ years.

 

3. CHIEF INTERNAL AUDIT:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify weaknesses and perform such functions as required under the Public Sector Companies Corporate Governance Rules and Companies Ordinance, 1984.
  • Analyze the data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, lack of compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Determine nature and extent of fraud or error, if any, by applying relevant National/International Standards of Auditing.
  • Conduct internal audits, pre- audits, coordination with External and Government Auditors.
  • Conduct regular physical stock taking of official assets.
  • Write regular/quarterly comprehensive audit reports, which include audit observations, findings and recommendations for corrective action.
  • Develops a flexible annual audit plan using appropriate risk-based methodology, including any risks or control concerns identified by management, and submit that plan to the audit committee for review and approval.
  • Implements the annual audit plan, as approved, including, and as appropriate, any special tasks or projects requested by management and the audit committee. 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION:

  • CA/Member of a recognized body of professional accountants/Certified Internal Auditor/Certified Fraud Examiner/Certified Internal Control Auditor/Master Degree in finance from a University recognized by the HEC.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferably in Government organization. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of government financial rules, regulations, procedures, internal controls, auditing, corporate governance rules of public entity, preparation & presentation of audit reports to Board of Directors and Departmental (DAC) & Public Accounts Committees (PAC)
  • Sound knowledge of international auditing standards, methods and procedures.
  • Candidate having experience of Government as well as Corporate Governance Rules will be preferred.

 

4. CHIEF ENERGY AND POWER

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

A Master's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 15 years of experience, mostly in the energy and power sector. Candidates with higher qualification and more pertinent experience that adheres to the objectives of KPEZDMC will be given preference.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Provide leadership regarding energy and power initiatives for industrial estates and special economic zones of KPEZDMC
  • Proactive planning and estimation of energy related requirements
  • Lead the Energy and Power Department at KPEZDMC
  • Report to the COO/CEO on Energy and Power related matters and issues on regular basis
  • Ensuring timely availability of electricity to industrial estates, economic zones, and special economic zones at a reasonable tariff
  • Planning and executing of power projects in different applicable modes e.g. PPP, IPP, Captive etc.
  • Ensuring timely inter-connectivity of power projects 
  • Facilitating and negotiating with investors in power projects 
  • Budget planning and prioritization of projects
  • Responsible for meeting goals, policies, plans, standards, performance objectives and budget for the power projects and other related initiatives
  • Other tasks as delegated by the COO/CEO

DESIRABLE QUALITIES:

  • Knowledge of power sector in Pakistan. 
  • Knowledge of power policies, tariff determination, applicable processes, rules and procedures.
  • Experience of handling tariff petitions, power purchase agreements, and other allied agreements for power projects will be a plus.
  • Strongly result oriented.
  • Exceptional negotiating capabilities.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of using project management tools such as MS Project and/or Primavera

 

5. MANAGER (POWER PROJECTS)

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience, mostly in dealing with power projects

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Evaluate the feasibility reports of power projects taken up by KPEZDMC for its industrial estates, economic zones, and special economic zones
  • Perform routine project management tasks related to power projects for industrial estates, economic zones, and special economic zones
  • Work effectively with investors and other stake holders 
  • Keep track of engineering changes and update the energy and power team, and head of department
  • Utilize project management tools and techniques for assessing project life cycle, client goals and objectives, contract types and project risk, Work Breakdown Structures, project scope, schedule, and budget, Project Management Plans, financial management and controls, and earned value.
  • Other tasks as delegated by the head of department

DESIRABLE QUALITIES:

  • Strong Electrical Engineering Background
  • Understanding of power systems engineering
  • Technical project delivery and project management experience
  • Organized, and strong attention to detail in managing projects
  • Competence in identifying and resolving a range of technical power system engineering issues
  • Knowledge of using project management tools such as MS Project and/or Primavera

 

6. MANAGER (SUB-STATIONS)

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience, mostly in the area of electrical sub-stations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Technology specifications development
  • Site feasibility assessments
  • Development as well as vetting of substation design and specifications
  • Competence in identifying and resolving a range of technical issues related to electrical sub-stations
  • Propose and assist in implementing the most feasible interconnectivity solutions
  • Manage and supervise a group of engineers, designers, and contractors to successfully deliver completion of substation projects 
  • Other tasks as delegated by the head of department

DESIRABLE QUALITIES:

  • Strong Electrical Engineering Background
  • Understanding of power systems engineering
  • Experience in leading both technical and commercial engagement with suppliers and vendors 
  • Specification, design, tendering or operation of electrical equipment 
  • Competence in identifying and resolving a range of technical power systems engineering issues 
  • Experience in High Voltage, Medium Voltage, and Low Voltage systems such as Substations, Transformers, Switchgears etc.
  • Knowledge of applicable standards
